Julia is the Acting Chief Tourism Officer at Wesgro, the official tourism, trade, and investment promotion agency for Cape Town and the Western Cape. She is responsible for implementing Wesgro’ s tourism strategy, overseeing destination marketing campaigns, trade development, stakeholder partnerships, and reporting on measurable economic impact. With more than 20 years of experience, Julia has held senior roles in destination management, events, and trade, including scaling private sector companies and leading operations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. She holds a BA Law from Stellenbosch University and executive training in Sustainable Tourism Development from Cornell.
