Ms. Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani is Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy

Giri serves as a lecturer at Bali Tourism Polytechnic, Ministry of Tourism, the Republic of Indonesia after completing her 30 year service as Government Official at the Ministry of Tourism last October.  Her last position at the Ministry was as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, 2019 – 2024.

She has extensive experiences in handling international tourism cooperation and international governmental meetings (UN Tourism Regional Commission for Asia and the Pacific Regional Commission; UNESCO, WTTC, APEC, PATA, ASEAN Ministers and NTOs meetings; several Bilateral Meetings with partner countries).

She is also an GSTC Sustainable Tourism auditor since 2021. She was the committee member of the Association of Indonesia Women High Level Leaders and is still an active member.  She also serves as an advisor to Indonesia Chapter of IWFCI (International Women’s Federation of Commerce and Industry).

Her research interests focus on sustainable tourism, women, cultural communication.
