Dr. Fares Braizat is the Managing Director of the Petra Development & Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA), and  former Minister of Youth. 

He leading efforts to preserve and promote Petra as a premier heritage and tourism destination.

He focuses on sustainable development, balancing infrastructure growth with conservation of Petra’s unique archaeological and natural sites. Under his leadership, PDTRA enhances tourism infrastructure and fosters longer visitor stays. Dr. Braizat actively engages local communities to improve service quality and inclusive development.

He has built strong international partnerships to boost cultural exchange and tourism growth.
