Dr. Kapil Dev Sharma is former Principal of Government Post Graduate Commerce College, Kota.

He served after superannuation for three years as Director LBS Group of Colleges and Principal, Lord Buddha College of Technology and Sciences, Kota. Earlier he had been Head of Post Graduate Dept. of Business Administration at JDB Government College for Girls, Kota.

He taught Business Administration related papers to Graduation, Post-Graduation, and M.Phil.Classes. He attended and contributed in Pan Commonwealth Forums on Open Learning at University of Brunei, Bandar Seri Begawan; Dunedin, New Zealand and University of London.

He visited institutions of higher learning at Malaysia, Sri Lanka, USA, Japan and Singapore. Dr. Sharma is an Academic Counselor of IGNOU and VMOU MBA program. Twenty five research scholars earned their doctoral degree under his supervision and two more are pursuing. He is a member and office bearer of number of many academic & professional bodies in the field of Business Management, Commerce and Human Resource Development.

Dr. Sharma completed four University Grants Commission projects and contributed more than twenty research papers in accredited journals and book reviews. He had been corporate consultant for HRD, Community Satisfaction and Green Marketing. He had been member of Academic Council of Kota University, Board of Studies and External Expert for Faculty Board on Commerce of M S University, Vadodara; VMOU and Convener of COC on Management Studies at University of Kota.

Presently he is on Faculty Board of Management Studies of RTU. Dr. Sharma authored seven books and more than 30 research papers in International and national level journals on different functional areas of Management. He is a Life and National Council Member of Indian Society of Training and Development as well as former Kota Chapter Chairman. Presently he is on the Board of the prestigious World Association on Open Education (WAOE) and Member of International Accreditation Experts of International Council of Distance Education (ICDE).
