Dr. Sebastian Filep is Associate Professor and Assistant Dean at the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. Filep has an established international track record of research focusing on well-being and tourist experiences, primarily drawing from the field of positive psychology.

He is a co-author of Tourists, Tourism and the Good Life (Routledge, 2011), the lead editor of Tourist Experience and Fulfilment: Insights from Positive Psychology (Routledge, 2013) and the lead editor of Positive Tourism (Routledge, 2016). His recent major works included studies of love and kindness in tourist experiences. Filep is on editorial boards of multiple, major journals in tourism, leisure and hospitality fields.
