Professor Dr. Patrick Kalasa Kalifungwa is the President, Founder and Vice-Chancellor (LIUTEBM) University Lusaka Zambia. He has a very rich track record as a professional, politician, academician and private citizen.

Has had major accomplishments of life which are traceable including the establishment of a successful first University of tourism, transforming the Tourism Industry in Zambia.

He is very enlightened and forward-looking in terms of innovation and has a commitment to human progress and natural development. He has received awards of international quality leadership, International Socrates Award (European Business Assembly). Dr. Kalifungwa is completely honest in fulfilling public and private responsibilities, genuine integrity, morally upright and courageous in the cause of trust and justice and very competent to fulfill the tasks of leadership at the very highest level. He is globally exposed and has had collaborations with International Institutions both academic and professional, achieved awards in academic and professional spheres at the international level. While Cabinet Minister of Tourism Environment and Natural Resources acted in other Ministries in the absence of other substantive Ministers. He holds several academic qualifications including a PhD in Business Research and DBA Business Administration.
