Dr.Tamar Khakhishvili – Deputy Chair of the Agency on Protected Areas (Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia)
Tamar Khakhishvili serves as the Deputy Chairperson of the Agency of Protected Areas under the Ministry
of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
Ms. Khakhishvili holds a PhD in Business Administration and is an Associate Professor at East European
University. She also serves as an invited lecturer at Grigol Robakidze University, where she delivers
master’s-level courses across various academic disciplines. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), reflecting her strong expertise in the effective management of complex and multidisciplinary projects.
Ms. Khakhishvili has over 14 years of professional experience in the public sector. Prior to her appointment
as Deputy Chairperson, she served as Head of the International Relations and Project Management Division at the Agency of Protected Areas from 2017 to 2021. Earlier in her career, she worked at the Tbilisi Municipality City Hall within the Economic Development Office.
