Dr. Ni Made Eka Mahadewi is Associate Professor of Bali Tourism Polytechnic.Eka Mahadewi has worked in the tourism field since 1990. She graduated from Diploma Tourism Management; Bachelor in Tourism Business; Master in Tourism Studies and Phd in Tourism Planning and Development program.

Her research interests include Tourism Destination Management, Event and MICE Management and Consumer Behaviour in Tourism.Her books published national and internationally with the title ‘Ergonomic Destination, A Quality Tourism Identity’ published in Amazon.com; ‘MICE Red Hot Industry’, ‘Tourism and Hospitality Research Methodology’ books published nationally. And also she wrote some book chapters and articles related to Ecotourism, Event Tourism, Edu-tourism, Nomadic Tourism, Quantum Tourism, Smart Tourism, Rural Tourism, Tourist Behaviour, Tourism Promotion, Risk Management and other articles related to travel and hospitality issues.

Prior to her involvement in academia, Eka Mahadewi have been worked as industrial trainee management in national airline industry, in retail and wholesale travel agencies, in hotel operational, in tourism resorts, as a tour leader, travel and tourism consultant, also as a trainer and coach in the health especially basketball. She have experiences in tourism association in Bali and Indonesia especially in Hotel and Restaurant Association/PHRI (PHRI Bali Province and PHRI Badung Regency); SIPCO Bali (Society Indonesia Professional Conference Organizer), Badung Tourism Promotion Board (BPPD Badung Regency), HILDIKTIPARI (Indonesia Higher Tourism Institution Association), PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association) Bali and Nusa Tenggara Chapter; PERHUMAS (Public Relation Association) Denpasar Bali and some other tourism associations in Bali.

As a team of BPPD Badung, she have been experienced in handling tourism promotion to some other countries in the world.
She have experienced in institution as Acting Director and Deputy Director for Academic Affairs for Bali Tourism Institute; Head of Research Centre, Head of Quality Assurance for Bali Tourism Polytechnic.

She considers the journey in her career to flow like water. As she worked in vocational institution, she believed as lecturer must be learn from experiences in tourism, travel and hospitality industries.
