Alessandra Priante

Professor Alessandra Priante is President of the Italian Tourism Board, ENIT SpA

I am leading the team to redesign the long term strategy for the operational body of the Ministry of Tourism, along the lines of sustainability, inclusion, diversification, effectiveness, through digital transformation, widespread training, focused and innovative narrative, product development and market intelligence. I am also charged with restructuring the international network of the Tourism Board and contribute to its international positioning, aiming at reaching the highest levels of the global chart of tourism in all aspects.

Previously Director for Europe at UNWTO, I led the vision and strategy for promoting a responsible, sustainable, and universally accessible tourism in the region, supporting the leadership and development of our member states. With over four years of experience in this role, I have coordinated a team of experts and introduced innovative practices that have enhanced the value proposition and impact of UNWTO’s mandate and activities in Europe.

I have a strong academic background and an Executive MBA from LUISS Business School, as well as a European Master in Audiovisual Management and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University. I have developed a solid and recognized competence in strategy, finance, management, communication, and international relations, as well as a deep knowledge of the tourism sector and its challenges and opportunities. I am fluent in six languages, including English, French, and Arabic, and have a proven track record of successful negotiations, partnerships, and fund raising at national and international levels. I am motivated by the mission and values of UNWTO and the opportunity to make a positive impact for the tourism industry and the society.
