Ms. Alushca Ritchie is President of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations, consisting of associations members in 90 countries, individual and affiliate members across the globe.
She is an active tourist guide and member of the board of directors for Cape Town Tourism (CTT) (Destination Marketing company) and International Cultural and Creative Industries Regulatory Authority (ICCIRA).

At WFTGA we advocate for the professional tourist guide, the role they play in the value chain of tourism, and the importance of their storytelling to visitors’ experience in respective destinations. WFTGA encourages adherence to standards in the industry and qualifications of this profession.
