Orhan Uludag

Professor Dr. Orhan Uludag is a Vice Dean of Research at Central Asian University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy from the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Eastern Mediterranean University. His research interests encompass stress, burnout, engagement, performance, and conflict within the tourism and education sectors.
Dr. Uludag has co-authored numerous articles in top-tier tourism and hospitality journals, contributing significantly to the academic discourse on organizational behavior in these fields. His research on employee performance, job satisfaction, and the effects of conflict and motivation has garnered wide recognition. According to Google Scholar, his work has been cited over 2,100 times, with an h-index of 14 and an i10-index of 14. Professor Uludag is a frequent speaker at international conferences, where he has delivered keynote addresses on sustainability in tourism and eco-innovation. He has also supervised numerous master’s and doctoral theses, contributing to the development of future scholars in tourism and hospitality.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Uludag has held several key academic and administrative roles. He has served as a senior lecturer at Eastern Mediterranean University since 2004. He was the assistant director of the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Girne American University from 2010 to 2012 and head of the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Mediterranean Karpasia from 2012 to 2016. From 2016 to 2024, he served as the director of the School of Tourism and Hotel Management, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership in academic program development and institutional growth. He holds supervisory qualifications from IATA, AMADEUS GDS, and GALILEO GDS, further strengthening his expertise in aviation and travel systems management.
