Dr. Viana Hassan is actively involved in academic and research work in Tourism & Cultural Management in Lebanon and Malta. She is the Founder and CEO of the European Tourism and Events Training Academy. She earned her Ph.D. in Tourism Management and Culture from Saint Joseph University, Beirut, with a thesis entitled “Medical Tourism in Lebanon”. She has over 19 years of experience in tourism, spanning various roles, from airline sales (MEA) to co-managing several Lebanese travel agencies.

Viana is an experienced lecturer with over 16 years of teaching experience at several universities in Lebanon, including Lebanese University, A.U.L, Lebanese International University, and Islamic University. She has also lectured at the Institute of Tourism Studies, STC Higher Education (partner of Wolverhampton University UK and University of Malta), GBS Malta (partner of Spa Bath University UK), American University of Malta, and Scholars School System (UK). Her expertise includes tourism management, customer service, branding, event management, airline business management, niche tourism, business operations management, customer acquisition, and medical tourism.

Dr. Viana has participated in numerous international conferences, such as Expo Dubai 2020 and the 7th Medical Tourism World Summit, and has presented her work in cities such as Athens, Paris, Vienna, Dubai, Beirut, Valencia, Amman, Lisbon, Istanbul, and India. She has also published papers in peer-reviewed journals.
