Mr. James Young is Founder & CEO of Sparren Consulting, Vietnam. 

An international executive with significant multi-unit and multi-brand experience at both an operational and corporate level in Europe, the Middle East, South-East Asia and Australasia.

James began his career as a student with the Holiday Inn brand in London and since then he has built and led high performing teams of many nationalities in complex city and resort hotels, run regions, developed projects and made the transition from large corporate entities to family – owned businesses – and back again.

He is a communicator, an enabler and comfortable at all levels of the business. Working in nine different countries has given him strong cultural understanding and empathy. He has lectured on diverse hospitality and business-related topics at universities in Vietnam, the UK and Thailand.
James is a strong believer in continuous education and holds an MBA with distinction from the University of Bradford School of Management, and a B.Sc. (Hons) in International Hospitality and Tourism with First Class Honours from Sheffield Hallam University. James is a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality.
