Mr. Abu Tahir Muhammad Zaber, Additional Secretary to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh took additional charge as the CEO of the Bangladesh Tourism Board on April 2022. Prior to joining as CEO he served as Director (Marketing, Planning & Public Relation) at BTB under the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
Mr. Abu Tahir Muhammad Zaber joined in the Bangladesh Civil Service in 1994 and posted as Assistant Commissioner and Magistrate at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Netrokona. He later worked in different capacities in different ministries and also at the field level. He has served in various ministries such as the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Agriculture, Cabinet Division, Local Government Division, Ministry of Public Administration, World Bank: Dhaka Office.  He did his Master’s in Political Science from the University of Dhaka. Mr. Zaber has visited different countries including UK, Sweden, Denmark, South Korea, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Vietnam, Australia, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, The Philippines, and the USA. He is happily married and blessed with a son and daughter.
