The Future of Tourism, The Way Forward: Malaysia and Indonesia Insights

Event Overview

The Future of Tourism, The Way Forward: Malaysia and Indonesia Insights. It is timely to adapt and implement new ways to help rejuvenate the sector and reinvent tourism of tomorrow. The spread of Covid-19 has shocked the world severely as the pandemic carries devastating economic cost. Impact of the crisis is being felt heavily among the tourism stakeholders especially tourism destinations as they are experiencing substantial loss in the number of tourist arrivals. The unexpected prolong of the crisis has caused the global tourism supply chain to be disrupted as vast number of hotels are closed, majority of international and domestic airlines are suspended, and operations of travel agents and tourism sole traders are ceased to exist; Malaysia and Indonesia are no exception. This webinar, to be attended by academicians, industry practitioners, researchers and general public, offers a distinct opportunity for tourism destinations in both countries to reset and chart their strategic long-term growth, discovering new ways for survival and sustainable development.
