A large number of star and non-star hotels in Bali has an impact on the presence of job opportunities at these tourist facilities, as can be seen in the following table 1. Bali, as one of the favourite destinations in Indonesia and the world, not only provides opportunities for entrepreneurs to build formal tourism facilities. In practice, tourists’ presence has implications for the presence of small-scale inns, such as homestays, guest houses, and standard smal hotels (non star hotel) , which in their construction require relatively less capital than star-rated hotels.
